The EMS Memorial Scholarship has been established to carry on the legacy of EMS Providers who have served the citizens of Adair County and beyond for many years. This scholarship helps carry on the passion these providers exhibited while serving the public during their time of need. These providers laid the foundation in providing compassionate, quality patient care to those in need and have achieved the mark of excellence in doing so. Current and future EMS providers can utilize this scholarship to advance in the field of EMS and achieve the quality training it takes to become a leader in the EMS field.
The EMS Memorial Scholarship accepts applications for Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) Courses and Paramedic Courses taught by Bureau of EMS recognized training entities in Northeast Missouri.
EMT Applicant requirements:
Must be 17 years of age and be eligible to take the National Registry test at age 18 within the allotted time frame of the course attended.
High School Graduate or GED equivalent.
Live and plan to serve in a Missouri County within Region B which includes Adair, Chariton, Clark, Knox, Lewis, Linn, Macon, Monroe, Putnam, Ralls, Randolph, Schuyler, Scotland, Shelby, and Sullivan.
Paramedic Applicant requirements:
Same as EMT but also must already be a Licensed EMT-B or EMT-A.
